I keep finding new sites with tons of fabulous freebies thanks to everyone on Twitter. Below is the beginnings of a list of those I find myself going to over and over. The folks who offer these put out unique, quality products. I’ll be adding more as I have time. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

career musings

Been thinking about where my career would be now if we didn’t have a house and kids. I know, very self-centered and selfish but, it just makes me wonder. Sure, it makes me wonder when I’m raking leaves out of the hedge, weeding the gardens and all of the tedious tasks that need to be done. All of the time spent maintaining a house, all of the time devoted to kids and their activities, not to mention just trying to keep up on the technology, trends, etc. of a career much less doing anything about it. People without time dedicated elsewhere seem to be the ones pushing the envelope creatively and technically because they have the time to devote to such pursuits and are the ones you read about.

Yes, we went out to dinner at that fancy restaurant again tonight, met up with the elite and then went back to our New York loft for the evening. Stayed up til all hours of the night working on the latest inspiration. Developed the latest cool widget/application/device that everyone will be talking about and everyone will want for years to comeYeah, that kind of stuff. It’s kind of like the confirmed bachelor that finally marries but misses his free-wheeling ways.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love, love, love our kids and love having a house and can’t imagine life otherwise – it helps that my husband is also my best friend. I also love that I have a job where I can be creative, have some freedom in my schedule and work with great people. I guess that is why Twitter is so important as well…I get to live vicariously through some pretty cool and ingenious people AND get to benefit from their knowledge and findings :) Yes, life is good.
